Nugent Printing Inc. has been in the same location since 1957, then called NU-GENT Printing. In June of 1979, Randy Hall an employee of NU-GENT Printing for five years was offered a chance to buy the company. So Randy, along with Gary and their father Bill and mother Phyllis (who still helps with our accounting today) purchased NU-GENT.
We started out with two used single color presses, a cutter and a folder. In 1983 we purchased our first large format 2 color press. In November of 1984 Debbie, their sister, joined NU-Gent Printing, making it a true family business.
In 1990 we purchased the building, incorporated the business and changed the name to Nugent Printing Inc., dropping the hyphen.
Shortly thereafter we remodeled and expanded the building to accommodate our new Heidelberg 4 color press and a Heidelberg GTO. The following year we bought a new cutter and folder in order to complete our full service bindery.
In 1994 we expanded our prepress department adding all of our digital equipment.
It was 1998 when we traded out our 4 color press for an Akiyama 4 color with aqueous coating.
